Rising Lines

Displacementia and home again. The sun returns and the spirit of
trim is present to welcome the dawn. Why am I drawn? Where does
my soul glide within the confines of this watery destiny? This is my destiny
as well. So it is. I was born here. I was fed here. I cried here and a part of
me has died here. I've laughed here and I've shouted here, just eager to
exist in this microcosm of few souls that converge with their fiber dolphins
to tap into the spirit again. 4 of these souls were out that day.

Here's a short wave from a session today (DIE greedy longboarders, DIE). The board featured is a beautiful 5'8" Quad fish by craftsman, Ian Zamora. Enjoy...I did. This board got all the whistles: S glass, custom resin work, Turbo Speed Dialers....mmmmm.

Bonzer Escape!!!

The Campbell Brothers' design is here to stay. Anytime it's punchy or wedgy or just plain good, I'll always reach for a Bonzer. This particular one was hand-shaped by a talented and passionate soul by the name of Ryan Lovelace of Point Concept Surfboards in Santa Barbara. Sensed some wedges up North of Maliwu and scored a ride or two. Le Vyusher works it in wolfvision with a little GusGus...

Glass and Fire

The moments before sunset suspend my mind and set in motion feelings of stillness. Stars emerge through the bath of fading light from a dying day, and I'm left to reflect how small I am.

Examples of being

Inspiration for movement indeed. Clinic on flow. Perfection. Egoless. Hypnotic like fire. May this bring grace to you...

Dauby Dribbles on a Lazy Day...

Conditions could not be more favorable for a slow evening. Docile newbies in small numbers lumbering around in their new wombs. The locals just hung out and laughed at us all. No wind, warm sun hung low in the western sky and the echoes of a distant storm oozed over the bottom of high tide 1st point...More wolfvision...

LV looking for a line..

...no line, just scribbles. Le Vyusher captured by Nico.

Delicate trimmings

I found a beach break offering some fun left peelers on a cold morning. Looking for the "shack". SATAN is a great hull. I miss it so.

Turning colors

Sutho is evolving. Vanilla. So begins the search for vanilla wax, chocolate perhaps...

Deep P with Sutho

Eerie lines. No moonlight. I took a long moment to decide to paddle out into the murky stillness. The Gypsy's wanderlust took over and soon after, the Mongol rode the white horse through the dawn.

Sutho rests.
